When I first came up with the idea for Ohana Coffee or "Salesforce Virtual Coffee" as it was called back in the day, I was at Dreamforce '16 I had made some amazing friends and truly experience the Ohana culture through all the people I met there.
Unfortunately, I live in Ireland small island in a big ocean where meeting up for coffee was not as easy as it sounded but I still want to grow friendships I had made and make more friends and boy have I! All the while helping others do the same!
It has been a bumpy ride experimenting with different tools to find the right one, figuring out different methods for registration, listening to feedback and accepting critiques. Going from having 6 people to 40 people attend and a growing wait list makes me have all the feels
It makes me so happy when I hear the Ohana tell me that Ohana Coffee has helped them in some way whether it's making a new friend, finding a wing-man at a conference, being alone in the city but able to reach out to the Ohana or meeting others who helped them study for exams.
As I said at the start of my ramblings I thought Ohana Coffee would be a one-off thing! Now I can't imagine a month without seeing all my friends on the screen taking the hour to chat, laugh, help each other and even the occasional swag-off! I just can’t believe it!
I want to thank everyone who has supported, attended, re-tweeted, liked a comment and give me their feedback it means so much you're never know how happy you guys make me.
Here's to another year!
To officially celebrate Ohana coffee being one-year-old there will be an in real life Ohana coffee at Dreamforce 17 I cannot wait to see you there!
